Hubli –Dharwad is the famous land which produced many eminent scholars in the field of Literature, Music, Classics, Drama spirituality, art and architecture. Dr D.R. Bendre was one of the eminent personalities who enrich and enhance the scope of the culture of this region.The downtrodden and underprivileged people, especially rural mass. Late Shri. Krishnappa.G Gokak, our beloved the then Chairman, established an Educational institution called, Shri Sharana Nuliya Chandayya Dr B R Ambedkar Smarak Akhila Karnatak Korawar Education Society established (1994-1995) Higher Education Institutions to provide learning opportunities to the people of this Nomadic , Semi Nomadic and area.

A man who chose to continue his crusade against the social,economic and cultural injujstice done over the economically and socially deprived communities. His strong intention to fulfill the basic needs of the community and the quest of knowledge of the ignorant people of the nomadic and semi-nomadic communities. He was a syandicate member of the affiliated University Karnatak University Dharwad. He served the society as a Corporator in the Hubli-Dharwad Muncipal Corporation for 10 long Years, which added pace forwards the communicative approach required from the Government benefitting the upliftment of this community.
